is subclass of

Can we have a property that is equivalent to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P279? Like Item:Q8526 is subclass of Item:Q26 (rather than Instance of) –Shisma (talk) 10:24, 10 February 2024 (CET)

Sure, I just created Property:P181. You are free to use this property, but please note this cannot replace the "instance of instance" method of information organization, at least for now. I see that using "subclass" is semantically more correct than using "instance of" as I did up to now, but there are eminently practical reasons because of how the LUA code in WikiTrek work which prompted me to choose that road. It might change in the future, but the limited time I have available to work on the project means this is not high priority, at the moment. Nevertheless, by all means feel free to use this P181 for any purposes you see fit. --Lucamauri (talk) 15:44, 10 February 2024 (CET)
thanks! could you please also add it here. I recommend the second position, like on WikidataShisma (talk) 16:21, 10 February 2024 (CET)
Done. It looks the page also needed some maintenance, it is now fixed, thanks for the heads up! --Lucamauri (talk) 17:48, 10 February 2024 (CET)
@Shisma I specifically asked you to not remove the Instance of (P14), but you did so here https://data.wikitrek.org/dt/index.php?title=Item:Q8526&oldid=72794 . For the reason explained above please refrain from doing so. --Lucamauri (talk) 16:39, 11 February 2024 (CET)
sorry 😬 –Shisma (talk) 10:31, 13 February 2024 (CET)

Equivalent Wikidata Property

if we had a property like equivalent wikidata property

Property:P14 equivalent wikidata propert wikidata.org/Property:P31

we could import all the labels and descrtions from wikidata –Shisma (talk) 10:30, 10 February 2024 (CET)

We already have the Property:P42, is this what are you looking for, or am I misunderstanding? --Lucamauri (talk) 11:25, 10 February 2024 (CET)
I assumed that's for Items only –Shisma (talk) 12:08, 10 February 2024 (CET)
Nope, that's why i called it "Entity", not "Item" 😉 --Lucamauri (talk) 15:27, 10 February 2024 (CET)
